If you use an electric toothbrush such as Philips branded models it is very important to sanitize the brush heads after every use. Simply rinsing it off may not be sufficient! So, what’s a quick and easy solution? The Philips UV, Ultra Violet, Sanitizer could be your best choice. It kills up to 99% of bacteria and viruses. It can easily do two brush heads at a time without the use of any chemicals. It can also charge one toothbrush handle by simply mounting it atop the sanitizer’s base located on the right side of the sanitizing compartment’s door.
Here's how it works. The brush heads when placed in the compartment that is surrounded by a sanitizing light. The UV Sanitizer’s reflector distributes sanitizing light around the entire top of the enclosed mounted brush heads for optimal results. After closing the sanitizer’s door simply press the button once to activate the UV Sanitizer process. Note, wait a couple of seconds after closing door then press the top button firmly. You should see a blue light come on thru the vertical narrow window. This indicates the cleaning process has begun. Repeat process if you do not see the blue light. After a ten minute cleaning process it turns itself off and the cleaning cycle is complete. The brush heads are now ready for removal when it’s time to brush your teeth again.
You can easily charge your Sonicare toothbrush while your brush heads become clean and stay fresh until your next brushing. Simply place the Sonicare toothbrush on the mount adjacent to the cleaner’s door. Leave it there until its next use. This will ensure your toothbrush is always charged and at the ready for the next use.
The Philips UV Sanitizer is specifically designed to kill germs on Sonicare brush heads. Make sure your toothbrush gets thoroughly clean after every use. This UV Sanitizing technology is specifically designed to kill germs on Sonicare brush heads. Philips states that this Sanitizer has the capability to eliminate up to 99.9% of germs and bacteria. I have not tested this with any other brand of toothbrush heads. It possibly would work since the technology could probably apply to other brands.
The Philips UV Sonicare sanitizer/charger works very well. I’ve used it for many years. I did update to the latest model recently that offers slight changes makes the units interior cleaning much easier.
