As is the case with many gadgets, the manufacturers often times neglect to include detailed manuals with their products. These products are so feature packed that to gain the most out of them one needs to have a handy, reliable source to which to turn.  Such is the case with the series 1, 2, 3 and 4 Apple Watch.

Marc Saltzman, a freelance journalist, author, lecturer, consultant, as well as a frequent guest on national radio, and television networks has authored his second edition of “APPLE WATCH dummies. This 324-page reference manual includes the Series 4 Apple Watch. If you’re not familiar with the “Dummies” publications they are not only geared towards the novice, but also for the very tech savvy user. As I mentioned earlier, with so many features and advances packed into each series of Apple Watch, having an expert at your disposal is well worth the $25 investment.

As is typical with all other Dummies books, Marc’s book is broken down into five chapters. Each chapter is geared to cover specific topics from simply getting to know your watch to tips, tricks and cool things you can do with it. The chapters have subchapters that answer specific questions and include detailed how-tos, stuff that would be next to impossible to quickly uncover, understand, or otherwise ever find out on your own. In other words it’s a quick reference manual, written in an easy to understand language, pinpointed to your inquiring mind. If you’re new to the watch you’ll probably want to read the first chapter or two to simply orient yourself to the watch, and then jump around to get the answers that specifically address your concerns. The way this book is laid out you’ll often find yourself referring to it,  I do.

Yes, there are many other books on the subject, but I find most of them that I’ve reviewed are a narrative that must be read cover-to-cover. After such a read all you’ve gained is a basic understanding of the watch, but not any problem solving. So, if you’re looking for easy to understand answers, “APPLE WATCH dummies is a necessity if you own or plan to own any series of Apple Watch.
