Many of us have heard the term "Bluetooth®"
The 1Mii B03 is a
Bluetooth®
I’m now able to listen to the satellite radio programming on
either my PYLE PBMSQG9 compact and
portable Bluetooth® speaker system, or my Mixcder
HD901 Bluetooth® headsets. Both these items will be featured in a future
column of THE GADGETEER.
The 1Mii B03 comes
with all the necessary cables and a USB power supply. What surprised me was they
even included an optical cable for those sound purists that have such a need. Pairing
your device to the transmitter is a simple one-button process. I’ve included an
overview of the control functions below. In some cases it’s possible to pair
two devices, however this does decrease the signal strength and can result in
signal dropouts. There is a PRO version that appears to be made for the Japanese
market claiming a slightly increased signal range spec and may be available by
third party vendors on-line.
The manufacturer claims reception of up to 230´ line-of-sight
and 80-110´ indoors. The results in my condo environment, with many walls, proved
more like 30´ before signal dropout issues surfaced. Again, walls, fixed
obstacles and sharp turns may affect the signal’s path causing signal dropout. Positioning
of the 1Mii and readjusting the antenna angle could improve this. Also
repositioning, if practical, the receiving device could improve reception as
well. All-in-all, the 1Mii B03 is a
useful device in expanding your listening pleasure to Bluetooth® compatible
devices such as iPhones, Ipads, computers, tablets, smartphones, stereo
systems, sound bars and portable Bluetooth® speaker systems. It’s certainly well
worth the investment to expand your listening pleasure!!!
